“I am so impressed by what you say, but then I suppose I would be as I do so very much agree with you! As you point out, these days we rely so much on experts and their books, and they can be helpful, but they can’t know a baby as intimately as that baby’s mother and father. I firmly believe that raising the confidence of new parents can only be an enormous help in making a happy and relatively stress-free family.

Your great strength is to get people to think and not just knee-jerk react. To hopefully get parents to act in support unison, creating a secure and happy home. I am beginning to think a successful family could almost be described in circus act terms. Keeping all the balls in the air and plates spinning so that everyone in the family is catered for and valued. Sometimes, as in every circus, a plate will fall but it just gets picked up again and the act goes on, i.e. one small failure is not the end, there is a need to be consistent but flexible.

The value of a secure family life cannot be overestimated. I see out of control young people living feral lives; it’s heartbreaking and of course the babies born as a result become statistics in the Family Court before going on to make appearances in the Juvenile and then Adult Courts. Therefore anything we can do to break the cycle can only be welcome.”

“We are often so closely involved with our children and usually extremely tired, which means we all find it difficult to see things clearly. Christine has an honest approach which works well not only with children and babies, but is also excellent for parents who are desperate to change things and improve their relationship and therefore the environment in which their children will grow up.”

“Christine was a great source of general parenting advice. The kind of guidance she gave was to be positive with our baby as she picked up on our cues. What Christine did was to point out what the experience was like from our baby’s perspective. Getting alongside people to see their point of view as a means to influencing behaviour is a method I have encountered in the context of business training. I had not thought to apply that same skill during home life with our baby. The fact that Christine did just that gave me great confidence in her capabilities and the other things she had to say.

Christine is clearly interested in her subject. She is knowledgable about established and well-respected thinking on social development and was able to articulate this knowledge in easily digestible chunks as various baby-related situations arose. I think her ‘parental training’ has improved the family’s dynamics a lot, making all concerned a more balanced and happier family.”

“We telephoned Christine for advice about night-time waking, feeding, and daytime naps for our 20 week old. After asking a few pertinent questions the advice we were given was clear and confidently imparted. By the following night our baby was happily sleeping through the night and over the next few days her daytime naps and feeds improved. The telephone consultation service is a wonderful way of quickly and inexpensively accessing sound advice. It is an excellent resource and one that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again ourselves.”

“Christine offers mentoring to parents giving them the confidence to believe in themselves. Being a parent starts as soon as a baby is born – and it comes as a shock to most of us. She helps parents establish an excellent start, benefitting the family as a whole, and providing a good foundation for school and beyond.”

“We are all big fans of 'Auntie Christine' - she is more of a full spectrum baby-peace-of-mind consultant than sleep guru."
